Office Administration Level 6

This is a one year full time course.

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the required knowledge, skill and competence to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in an administrative role in the private, public or voluntary sector and or to progress to higher education or training.

The course is designed to allow the learner to gain advanced knowledge and skills in the general area of office management. The learners will receive specialist training in up to date Microsoft Office applications and Office Administration as well as developing speed and advanced accuracy in text production. In addition this course provides a range of core subjects which are essential to the understanding of Business and Office environments.

This is a VTOS course which means that persons on Social Welfare may qualify for a bonus payment.

This course is also available to school leavers/PLC students

STUDENTS MUST BE 18 YEARS.

TO OBTAIN A VTOS PAYMENT, STUDENTS MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS AND IN RECEIPT OF

CERTAIN TYPES OF SOCIAL WELFARE PAYMENT FOR A MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS.

Students are expected to have a good standard of spoken and written English.

Students may be required to undertake an English language test before places are offered.
