Office Administration (Business Through Computers)

This course is a one-year full time course which prepares students for work in an office situation.

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision providing administration services and support in a range of office administration contexts and or to progress to higher education and training.

The  course includes an extra module called Bookkeeping Manual and Computerised so learners obtain a full award with this extra module on it.
To be VTOS eligible applicants must be at least 21 years of age by the course start date and in receipt of certain social welfare payments or must be signing for credits at least 6 months before the start date. However, if an applicant does not fit this criterion he/she may apply for BTEA (Back to Education Allowance) and attend the course as a PLC student. Timetable subject to change.

This course starts in September and ends in late May.

Students are expected to have a good standard of spoken and written English.

Students may be required to undertake an English language test before places are offered.
